| New Student Center Opens in India |
 New Hope now has 4 student centers in southern India with over 160 children attending. Each year we see their growh and see what a great difference this ministry is making in their lives. About 80 children still need to be sponsored, which provides school fees, after school tutoring, a meal each day, and the chance to learn about the love of Christ. The area where the children live is very depressed. Many of the children's parents work in the lowest of jobs as street sweepers or in house cleaning. Many times they do not make enough to pay their bills and afford to feed the family as well.
The student center has been a blessing to the children and their families. Previously, the children would go to the community hall after school and watch movies. Now they love to come to the student center to learn about Jesus and to sing worship songs and dance for Him. They also get extra help in their school studies, as the student center teachers work with them. The children are also provided a meal or healthy snack while at the student center.| < Prev | Next > |
